Morais Leitão awarded in four categories at the Women in Business Law Awards EMEA 2026

Morais Leitão has been recognised in four categories at the Women in Business Law Awards EMEA 2026, organised by the Legal Benchmarking Group in partnership with The Lawyer, and held on 25 June in London, at The Biltmore Mayfair.

The Firm was awarded in the categories Women in Business Law – EU Firm, Portugal Firm of the Year and Work-Life Balance – Western Europe, the latter recognising the policies and initiatives promoting work-life balance developed by Morais Leitão under the leadership of Joana Almeida, People Director and responsible for this internal programme. Partner Margarida Torres Gama was also individually recognised in the Insurance & Reinsurance category, an acknowledgement of her career in the insurance field and her prominent position in the market.

Now in its 16th edition, the Women in Business Law Awards recognise the best lawyers and the law firms that most contribute to promoting gender equality and developing women's careers in law across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
