Morais Leitão hosts meeting between ALF and delegation of Chinese automotive and financial companies
Morais Leitão is hosting today, 4 September, at its Lisbon office, a meeting promoted by the Portuguese Leasing, Factoring and Renting Association (ALF) and the China Automobile Dealers Association (CADA), dedicated to the Leasing and Renting market and to opportunities for cooperation between Portugal and China.
The initiative brings together representatives of Chinese companies from the automotive, financial and technology sectors, with the aim of sharing knowledge on developments in the Portuguese and Chinese markets, automotive financing and mobility, as well as identifying potential investment and economic cooperation opportunities.
Eduardo Maia Cadete, partner at Morais Leitão, takes part in the opening session with a presentation on the Portuguese economic and legal framework. The programme also includes the participation of Inês Ferrari Careto, principal associate, who speaks in a session dedicated to the regulatory framework for autonomous vehicles, addressing issues related to risk, compliance and liability associated with the development of this technology.
The meeting also includes presentations on the Portuguese Leasing, Factoring and Renting market, by Luís Augusto, President of ALF; the Chinese automotive and Leasing market, by Wei Zhou, Secretary-General of CADA; and public incentives for international expansion into Europe through Portugal, by Alexandra Vilela, President of COMPETE 2030.
Co-organised by ALF and CADA, with the support of Morais Leitão, the meeting aims to bring the two markets closer together and foster new opportunities for cooperation in a sector shaped by electrification, digitalisation and the evolution of mobility models.
