Pedro Costa Gonçalves honoured with the Teaching Award

Pedro Costa Gonçalves, a partner at Morais Leitão, received the Teaching Award from Diário As Beiras at the newspaper's 32nd anniversary gala, held at the Convento São Francisco in Coimbra.

The award recognises outstanding academic achievement. Pedro Costa Gonçalves holds a PhD in Legal and Political Sciences from the University of Coimbra and is a full professor and director of the university’s Faculty of Law, to which he has dedicated a significant part of his career. He is the chair of both the Centre for Public Law and Regulation Studies (CEDIPRE) and the Legal Institute of Communication (IJC), as well as being the editor of the Revista de Contratos Públicos. His research focuses on Administrative Law, Public Regulation Law, and Public Contracts Law.

Alongside his academic work, he has worked with Morais Leitão since 2006 and served as an arbitrator in various arbitration tribunals. He was also a member of the Superior Council of Administrative and Tax Courts from 2013 to 2021.

The Diário As Beiras gala also honoured individuals and institutions in categories including Sport, Culture, Career, Solidarity, Tourism, Entrepreneurship and Research.
