Pedro Costa Gonçalves, partner at Morais Leitão, will participate in the first edition of the Public Law Summit, taking place on 23 October at the Super Bock Arena in Porto.
Organised by Law Academy, the event aims to establish itself as a leading forum for discussion of the main legislative and institutional developments shaping Public Law, with particular focus on public procurement, urban planning, the civil service, administrative litigation and European environmental policy. The programme features eight thematic sessions and two round tables, bringing together academics, judges, practitioners and representatives of the Public Administration.
Pedro Costa Gonçalves will take part in the first session of the programme dedicated to the topic “The principle of the primacy of European Union law and the challenges for the future transposition of the new European public procurement regulations.” The panel will also feature Roberto Caranta, from the University of Turin, Pedro Cerqueira Gomes, from the Faculty of Law of the Portuguese Catholic University, and Suzana Tavares da Silva, Judge at the Supreme Administrative Court.
The Public Law Summit adopts a multidisciplinary and practical approach, bringing together legal, institutional and technical perspectives on ongoing reforms and seeking to anticipate the challenges that will shape public governance in Portugal in the coming years.
