João Rodrigues Brito
Managing Associate
João Rodrigues Brito joined Morais Leitão in 2010. He is a member of the firm’s criminal, regulatory offences, and compliance team.
João has wide experience in criminal e regulatory litigation, particularly on the financial and telecommunications sectors. His practice also focuses on compliance, especially in the fields of anti-money laundering and anti-corruption.
Over the years, João has also acquired significant experience in the scope of international legal cooperation in criminal matters, by giving advice in that field and by intervening in proceedings, such extradition proceedings, having developed his expertise in several matters of international law.
He is a regular speaker at conferences and delivers training courses in his areas of expertise.
Education
Law Degree (Católica Lisbon School of Law, 2010). Currently attending a Master’s Degree in Criminal Law and Criminal Studies (University of Lisbon School of Law).
