Joana Granadeiro

Principal Associate

Joana Granadeiro joined the firm in September 2017. She is a member of the litigation and arbitration team and of the Morais Leitão international arbitration team, after having previously worked at the Firm’s corporate and M&A practice group for a year.

Prior to joining the Firm, Joana worked at Three Crowns LLP, in Paris (September 2016-August 2017) and at the New York offices of King & Spalding LLP (June-September 2014). 

In 2019, Joana Granadeiro co-founded the NYU Portuguese Alumni Association. 

She currently serves as an ICC YAF Representative for the Europe and Russia chapter, being the first representative from Portugal. 
In September 2021, Joana Granadeiro successfully completed the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) Tribunal Secretary Training Programme.

Law Degree (Católica Lisbon School of Law, 2015). LL.M. (New York University, 2016). Postgraduate degree in Energy Law (Católica Lisbon School of Law, 2019). Summer School in European Union Law (King´s College, London, 2013). Summer School in UK Contract Law (Oxford University, Oxford, 2012).

Portuguese Bar Association (admitted in 2019). New York State Bar Association (admitted in 2018). NYU Portuguese Alumni Association (co-founder). ICC Young Arbitrators Forum Representative (2021-2024). Member of the Lusophone Arbitrators Club (since 2022).
