Filipe Vaz Pinto and Joana Granadeiro are speakers at the 19th Congress of the Portuguese Commercial Arbitration Centre (CAC), taking place on 2 and 3 July in the Main Hall of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Lisbon.

The central theme of this year's Congress is "Strategy and Responsibility in Arbitration", offering an in-depth reflection on the roles of the various participants in arbitral proceedings and the challenges associated with strategic decision-making in an increasingly demanding and dynamic context.

On 2 July, Joana Granadeiro participates in the Under 40s segment, where she interviews arbitrator Jesús Remón, Partner at Uría Menéndez in Madrid, alongside Francisco Couto (Senior Consultant at Oxera Consulting).

On 3 July, Filipe Vaz Pinto moderates a panel dedicated to the Nigeria v P&ID case and arbitrators' duties. The panel also features Crina Baltag (Arbitrator and Associate Professor at Queen Mary University of London), Ndanga Kamau (Arbitrator), Nelson Jeque (Justice of the Administrative Court of Maputo) and Sofia Vale (Arbitrator and Professor at the Faculty of Law of Agostinho Neto University in Luanda).
