João Miguel Fernandes

Principal Associate

João Miguel Fernandes joined the Firm in 2017. He is a member of the tax team. 

His practice is focused on tax law on the national and international levels, on matters related with direct and indirect taxation. He advises individual and collective entities within the scope of investment, restructuring and financing transactions in Portugal and abroad. He has particular experience in the energy and real estate sectors.

He also works in the field of tax litigation, having experience both at administrative and judicial procedures with a wide range of matters, with particular focus on Personal Income Tax and Corporate Income Tax issues.

Previously, he worked at Teixeira de Freitas, Rodrigues e Associados and EY, also belonging to the respective tax teams.
