Carla Osório de Castro

Senior Lawyer

Carla Osório de Castro joined the firm in 2010. She is a member of the litigation and arbitration team.

Carla represents domestic and foreign clients in civil and commercial proceedings and provides day-to-day consultancy to several clients on civil and commercial matters. She also has experience in Family and Inheritance Law.

She also collaborates with the Africa Team - an internal structure that guarantees, on a permanent basis, and in close cooperation with the member firms of the Morais Leitão Legal Circle, personalised day-to-day assistance to clients on matters that involve the jurisdictions of the African Portuguese speaking countries – in which she assists clients in the litigation area.

Carla also collaborates with the insolvency and restructuring team – an internal structure that assists clients on matters regarding business recovery and insolvency – and the Indian Task Force.

Since 2010 she has been teaching subjects related to civil law at the Católica Porto School of Law, in Porto. She often participates, as speaker, in training sessions on several areas of the law.

Portuguese Bar Association (admitted in 1986). Member of the board of Oporto’s Ethics Bar Association 2009/2011.
