Morais Leitão hosts the Pan-European LESI YMC – Young Members Congress 2025

On November 7, Morais Leitão will host the Pan-European LESI YMC – Young Members Congress 2025, one of the most relevant gatherings for young professionals in the field of technology transfer and innovation.

Under the theme “Young Minds, Big Transfers: The Transfer Generation Shaping Innovation’s Future!”, the conference will bring together experts from across Europe and beyond to discuss the challenges and opportunities of intellectual property, the data economy, and cross-border collaboration in the technology sector.

Morais Leitão is one of the main supporters of this conference, which is organized by the YMC of LES Spain-Portugal and co-chaired by Joana Andion and Cristina Espín Martí.

The agenda features four thematic panels: Rethinking IP in the Age of AI, Data Economy: The Ultimate Sector, Tearing Down Borders: European IP Litigation, and Tech Transfer in a Globalized World. These discussions will address topics ranging from the impact of artificial intelligence on intellectual property law to the complexities of European IP litigation and the challenges of global technology transfer.

Morais Leitão’s participation will also be highlighted by the presence of lawyers Ana Pereira Coutinho and Filipa Castanheira de Almeida as speakers in two of the panels. Ana Pereira Coutinho will take part in Panel II – Data Economy: The Ultimate Sector, which will analyze the legal issues related to ownership, access, and transfer of data in collaborative and cross-border contexts. Filipa Castanheira de Almeida will speak at Panel III – Tearing Down Borders: European IP Litigation, where recent case law trends and the challenges of European IP litigation will be discussed.
