Morais Leitão hosted two client-only breakfast sessions dedicated to the impact of the forthcoming Directive (EU) 2023/970 on pay transparency and equal pay between men and women. The sessions took place on 24 March at the Lisbon office and on 16 April at the Porto office.
With a transposition deadline set for 7 June 2026, the Directive introduces new pay transparency mechanisms and strengthens the tools designed to ensure the effective application of the principle of equal pay.
Against this backdrop, the Employment, Pensions and Immigration team analysed the main implications of the new framework, with particular attention to the identification of compliance risks and the development of practical approaches to support organisations in adapting to the new requirements. The topic was presented by Isabel Valente Dias, João Diogo Duarte and Filipa Godinho Duarte.
The sessions, aimed at legal and human resources professionals from a range of clients, also provided a forum for sharing insights and discussing diagnostic methodologies and concrete implementation solutions.
