Morais Leitão will be represented by David Silva Ramalho, Nicole Fortunato, Inês F. Neves and Márcia Tomás Pires at the 1st Law and Technology Congress, organised by Almedina, which will take place on 5 and 6 June at the Altis Grand Hotel in Lisbon. Our lawyers will contribute to the congress programme with presentations in sessions focused on the intersection between law and technology.
On 5 June, David Silva Ramalho will speak in the session “Instruments to combat cybercrime”, and Inês F. Neves will join the panel on “Antitrust framework for generative AI”. On the same day, Nicole Fortunato will take part in the discussion panel “Between regulation and the promotion of innovation in artificial intelligence”.
On 6 June, Márcia Tomás Pires will join the panel “How should the law address decentralisation?”.
Held at a time of significant legislative and regulatory transformation driven by emerging technologies — such as artificial intelligence and blockchain — the Congress aims to promote in-depth discussion on how the law is responding to the challenges and opportunities arising from this new reality. The agenda includes analysis of key legislation under the European strategy and the impact of the current regulatory landscape on companies, public authorities and legal practice.
