Morais Leitão participates in the 1st Postgraduate Course on Cybercrime and Digital Evidence in Criminal Procedure
Morais Leitão supports and takes part in the 1st Postgraduate Course on Cybercrime and Digital Evidence in Criminal Procedure, organised by the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (FDUL), in partnership with the Institute of Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences (IDPCC), the Centre for Research in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences (CIDPCC) and the School of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Santa Catarina (EMPSC).
With scientific coordination by David Silva Ramalho, Helena Morão and António Brito Neves, the course will take place from 27 November 2025 to 31 March 2026, in an online format.
In addition to supporting the initiative, Morais Leitão will be strongly represented among the teaching staff, with Tiago Félix da Costa, David Silva Ramalho, Tiago da Costa Andrade, Nuno Igreja Matos, Adriana Brás and Inês Costa Bastos lecturing several modules dedicated to the legal challenges of cybercrime and digital evidence.
- Tiago Félix da Costa will discuss cybercrimes against individuals, focusing on the intersection between cyberattacks, data protection and corporate liability.
- David Silva Ramalho will address “Money laundering and crypto-assets”, exploring the relationship between organised cybercrime, digital assets and anti-money laundering frameworks.
- Tiago da Costa Andrade will examine computer fraud and online scams, highlighting emerging schemes such as romance scams and crypto-asset fraud.
- Nuno Igreja Matos will speak on hate speech on the Internet, analysing the challenges of online freedom of expression, liability of actors, and the role of digital platforms in moderating unlawful content.
- Adriana Brás and Inês Costa Bastos will lead the closing practical session, dedicated to a cyber incident response simulation, in partnership with Privacy Rules.
