Vasco Xavier Mesquita, partner at Morais Leitão, will take part on 26 May in the conference "The New Economics of Defence", organised by PLMJ in partnership with ECO. The event runs from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm at the PLMJ Auditorium in Lisbon.
The conference is built around a shared premise: in a context of growing global investment in defence, moving from intent to action requires the alignment of multiple factors, namely regulation, financing, public procurement, and information security. The programme is structured around four main themes: data and artificial intelligence in defence, financing, the organisation of innovation and new technologies, and public procurement.
Vasco Xavier Mesquita joins the panel "Defence and Security Public Procurement: the Risk of Short-Circuit", scheduled for 4:15 pm. The panel also includes Carla F. Machado (PLMJ), Elsa Cardoso, Public Sector Sales Manager at Logicalis, Mariana Maia Rafeiro, Regulatory and Government Affairs Director at Microsoft Portugal, and Rui Lobo, Director Southern Europe at TEKEVER. The session is moderated by Diogo Duarte de Campos, partner at PLMJ.
