Joana Galvão Teles joined the firm in 2005. She is a member of the litigation and arbitration team. She is also member of the insurance law team and Africa Team, in particular in litigation and arbitration areas.
Joana focuses her practice, mainly, on dispute resolution, either arbitrations or judicial proceedings, in a variety of industry sectors, including banking, construction, energy, infrastructures, insurance, media and advertising, mining, public-private partnerships, transports, among others.
She has acted as counsel in domestic and international arbitrations and participated in negotiation and inclusion of arbitration clauses in the contracts.
She participates as lecturer in Postgraduate courses on arbitration offered by the Nova Law School, as well as in seminars in the field of arbitration.
She is a member of the Investment Arbitration Commission of the Portuguese Association of Arbitration.
