Isabel Valente Dias

Isabel Valente Dias joined the firm in 2007. She is a member of the employment, pensions and immigration team.

Previously Isabel Valente Dias worked with the corporate and M&A and capital markets team.

Isabel provides consultancy in all areas of employment and social security law, concerning both individual and collective employment relationships. She has widely experience in legal due diligence processes. operations related to the transfer of undertakings, restructuring processes, proceedings for the termination of employment contracts and implementation of remuneration policies and fringe benefit plans. Also, she has extensive experience on data protection matters in the area of human resources.

Isabel acts as legal counsel for several clients on labour litigation and social security matters. 

She holds a PhD in Law, in the field of labour law, with a thesis on “Remuneration in Portuguese labour law”. Furthermore, Isabel is a member of ELLN – Employment Labour Law Network, a European network of labour law experts, collaborating as a Portuguese expert with the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion on labour matters relevant to European Union law.

She is a Researcher of CEDIS (Centro de Investigação & Desenvolvimento sobre Direito e Sociedade).

Isabel participates in conferences, seminars and courses on matters related to labour and social security law. She is a Guest Professor at Nova School of Law. She is co-author of several articles in the field of labour law.
