Morais Leitão leads TTR Data’s ranking of legal advisers in M&A transactions in Portugal, ranking first by value of transactions advised in 2026.
According to the latest TTR Data figures, the firm advised on 12 transactions with an aggregate value of €1.106 billion, of which €699 million related to buy-side transactions and €407 million to sell-side transactions. Morais Leitão leads the ranking by value by a significant margin and also ranks 4th by number of transactions.
The Portuguese M&A market has shown strong momentum in 2026, with a significant volume of transactions, including a number of major deals.
The firm’s performance is also reflected in the individual rankings. Ricardo Andrade Amaro ranks 1st in the Deal Maker ranking by value of transactions, with deals totalling €1.079 billion.
Morais Leitão also holds the top three positions in the Rising Star Deal Makers ranking by value of transactions: Pedro Capitão Barbosa ranks 1st, with €1.079 billion, followed by Helena de Sousa Abreu, with €699 million, and Maria João Bernardes, with €380 million.
