Shortlist | Women in Business Law EMEA Awards 2023

The list of nominations for the Women in Business Law Awards EMEA Awards 2023 was released today.

Morais Leitão renews its nominations for the "Firm of the Year", "Career Development National Firm of the Year" and "Pro Bono Work National Firm of the Year" awards.

Individually the following lawyers are nominated: Ana Corrêa Cardoso (Finance - Rising Star), Catarina Brito Ferreira (Energy Natural Resources & Mining - Lawyer of the Year), Claudia Santos Cruz (Shipping & Maritime - Lawyer of the Year), Diana Ettner (Environment - Lawyer of the Year), Filipa Castanheira de Almeida (IP - Rising Star), Filipa Morais Alçada (Project Finance - Lawyer of the Year), Inês Gouveia (Antitrust & Competition - Lawyer of the Year), Inês Salema (Tax Disputes - Lawyer of the Year), Joana Galvão Teles (Commercial Arbitration - Lawyer of the Year), Joana Granadeiro (Corporate -Rising Star), Maria Almeida e Silva (Patent - Lawyer of the Year), Maria Soares do Lago (Debt Capital Markets - Lawyer of the Year), Mariana Soares David (Litigator of the Year), Nicole Fortunato (Information Communication Technology - Lawyer of the Year) and Rita Nunes dos Santos (Litigation - Rising Star).

Inês Pinto Leite (Tax - Rising Star / Wealth Management - Lawyer of the Year), Margarida Torres Gama (Corporate - Rising Star / Insurance & Reinsurance - Lawyer of the Year) and Maria Luísa Cyrne stand out for having more than one nomination, the latter being nominated for three separate awards (Copyright Lawyer of the Year, Media & Entertainment Lawyer of the Year and Trademark Lawyer of the Year).

The Women in Business Law EMEA Awards distinguish the firms that are most committed to diversity in the practice of law and celebrate the talent of these women lawyers in their different areas and sectors across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The winners will be announced on 28 June in London.
