Ana Corrêa Cardoso
Principal Associate
Ana Corrêa Cardoso joined the Firm in October 2017. She is a member of the international Banking & Finance department; Oil & Gas and Shipping practice teams at ML.
Previously, Ana was an associate at AVM. She has experience in international and cross border transactions and investments in the Portuguese, Angolan and Mozambican jurisdictions.
Ana is also a member of the Lusophone Africa practice team at Morais Leitão which is dedicated to deals; transactions and advising international clients investing in Portugal, Angola, Mozambique and Cape Verde. She works on a daily basis with ML Legal Circle integrated law firms assisting clients on the international and cross border aspects of their investments in a number of jurisdictions.
She has assisted several international companies and groups seeking to invest and establish themselves in these jurisdictions and has advised on a wide range of practice areas, including foreign private investment; corporate; commercial contracts; oil & gas; mining; forex aspects and employment. Ana has also assisted on a number of cross border financing transactions.
Education
Law Degree (Coimbra Faculty of Law, 2011). Master’s Degree in Administrative Law and Public Procurement (Católica Lisbon School of Law, 2014). Postgraduate Studies in Energy Law (University of Lisbon School of Law, 2014). International Petroleum Transactions module of the LLM (Católica Lisbon School of Law, 2018).

Portuguese Bar Association (admitted in 2015). Member of the Regional Directorate of Lisbon of the National Association of Young Portuguese Lawyers.
